The problem is do you spend more on going for the Pro chip or not, or do you invest that money in more cores, or more storage. The old adage that you can never go wrong in buying too much memory is good. Or if you like to have very large files open in other apps while working in Affinity then that will reduce what is available to Affinity.

As v_kyr stated, if you work with a lot of very large raw photos then you may find 16GB to be limiting.
